SCM Reefer Containers

 The compressors fir in a 20' and 40' containers are same. Given the container already arrives at cooled down temperature, the power required to maintain such temperature should be very close between a 20' and 40' containers. 

Why are the terminals charging a higher charge for 40' reefer container! Further terminal line of business is not to make money on providing a power service. Why is the local unit of power supply rate charges based on units consumed by the liner rather hourly rates fixed by the terminals!

Time to challenge status quo.

The annualized number is $1.2 trillion which is ~30% GDP, grown at less than 4%.  Profits are little convincing this time with 10.27% growth so far. Cutting down the branches, if not the entire tree well ahead of reach and water spray around those spots could be even more fruitful.

SCM and Production facility

In a world where decentralization of few production facilities are not viable, lot of care should be taken on what's the best SCM model to be used for production. This data has to be fed back to the manufacturers of B2B machine makers and so on such that, they also optimize what's in best interest of what can be put into a container. Observed an instance where a product was produced with a width of 1300mm, which would be standing in a container. Compared to a 1000mm production part, 1300mm production part would add lot of meaning to the production capacity by 30% with little more space and other utilities. However containers are standardized at 8.5' and high cube 9.5' and likely to remain this way. Therefore the machine producing any part that are extensively shipped throughout the world through containers, should be optimized.  I'm sure we join together to optimize many such products and optimize the resources.
